Welcome to Lingewaard

A place worth visiting
Comprising seven residential areas, Lingewaard is a rural district between Arnhem and Nijmegen in the Gelderse Poort area of scenic beauty. Lingewaard is an ideal base for bike rides along dikes and walks across forelands along the Waal, Lower Rhine and the Pannerdensch Canal. You may come across herds of Galloway cattle and Konik horses.

Rural
Known for its mediaeval Doornenburg Castle, Lingewaard is the first village participants in the Four-Day Marches pass through. The castle lies in the heart of vast meadows and is only a short distance from the Linge, along which runs a 7 km cycle path criss-crossing the rural landscape. Lingewaard is easy to access by ferry. Would you like to stay longer? There are numerous excellent campsites, cosy bed & breakfasts and a wide range of places to eat.
